Aldin Čenan is no longer the sports director of Željezničar

Aldin Čenan is no longer the sports director of FK Željezničar, it was announced by the club from Grbavica, reports the Patria agency.

The reason for his withdrawal is serious health problems, and recovery requires a longer period. The club will provide maximum support at all times, and the doors of the Grbavica Stadium are always open to Čenan.

In the past nine months, Aldin Čenan has made significant progress in structuring the club's sports segment in this position. During that period, procedures related to transfers, buying and selling players, coordinating youth categories, as well as defining rights and responsibilities and interpersonal relationships of all involved in the club's sports sector have been maximally refined and established.

A B team was formed, which gave us depth in the playing squad, as well as the opportunity for young players coming from the youth academy to be prepared for what awaits them when they play for the first team.

- I want to say goodbye to all the fans of FK Željezničar because I am one of them, and I will always remain a fan of this club. This is a job that cannot be done casually or halfway; one must be fully committed, and I am currently unable to do that due to seriously deteriorated health.

Lately, I have been trying to work regardless of everything, but it is not possible. I want to say that until now, I have given my maximum and more to achieve the club's goals. Perhaps those moves were not always what the fans wanted or thought they should be, but I must say that we have always worked depending on the budget and in accordance with the club's regulations.

I think FK Željezničar has a bright future and that this club is an example to others of how things should be done, and the results of everything that is being done will become apparent very soon. The fans of FK Željezničar should be proud of the club they have. From now on, see you in the east stand, from where I will wholeheartedly support Željezničar - said Aldin Čenan.

Aldin Čenan was appointed to the position of sports director in January of this year, and before that, from July 2016, he served as the chief scout.
