Šetkić sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for stealing a BMW vehicle from a garage in Sarajevo

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo found Aldin Šetkić guilty and sentenced him in the first instance to two years and eight months in prison for the criminal offenses of theft and damage to another's property.

The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office accuses him of stealing a BMW car from an underground garage in General Mehmed Alagić Street around 5 PM on July 4, 2025.

While fleeing the garage, he forcibly broke the exit ramp, causing material damage to the owner in the amount of 3,169.76 KM.

The stolen car was found at a gas station in the settlement of Pobriježje in Sanski Most on July 7 last year.

The accused was found there and taken into custody. After the verdict was pronounced, the court extended his detention.
