If Begić doesn't have the reflex to personally invite me to lead the Dragons, then he cannot be my president

If someone is interested in me, I'm here! But for me to offer myself to someone, that's an illusion! I have been building my reputation for 50 years. If Begić (Dino, editor's note) doesn't have that reflex (to invite him, editor's note), even though he worked with me when I was in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then he doesn't deserve to be my president – says Miroslav Ćiro Blažević in an interview for the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The storm surrounding the appointment of the new head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team has not subsided, after the previous coach Safet Sušić left this position in November. Turmoil and lobbying for the new leader of the Dragons continue.

The news agency Patria, and many other media outlets, were accused on Wednesday of falsely spreading the news that the coach of all coaches, Ćiro Blažević, would gladly take the helm of the BiH national football team again. However, the editorial board of this agency offers an audio recording of the interview with Blažević, in which the football expert clearly expressed his desire to lead the Dragons to France.

It is more than obvious that a suitable person is now being sought for the position of head coach of the BiH national football team, because high-ranking officials of the Football Association are skillfully undermining those candidates for the BiH coach who are unsuitable through certain media. By the same recipe, Felix Magath, a German football expert who was also one of the candidates for the BiH coach, was brought down, and he was accused of being interested only in money, but not in the success of the Dragons?!.

Due to lobbyists, the name of the new BiH coach will probably not be chosen on December 11 this year, although it was previously announced that it would happen.

- We must go to France! That is imperative! The class that is in the BiH national team obliges us to do so! And the players themselves cannot do anything if there is no real boss to tell them what to do – said Blažević for Patria. He even emphasized several times that he would be honored if he received an offer from the Football Association of BiH to be the coach of the team he has already led.
