(Patria) - Police officers of the Federal Police Administration are carrying out measures and actions within their jurisdiction under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, as part of the operational-tactical operation "Savings".
On this occasion, orders for searches of persons and property are being executed at five locations, namely in the area of Sarajevo Canton, Zenica-Doboj Canton, and Central Bosnia Canton, while as part of the said activities, a search is being conducted in the official premises of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Sarajevo.
"During the same activities, two suspects were deprived of their liberty as part of an investigation conducted by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton regarding irregularities committed in the process of paying out old foreign currency savings, while the suspects are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of 'Abuse of Position or Authority' and 'Aiding and Abetting'," the FPA stated.
The arrested persons will be processed criminally at the premises of the Federal Police Administration and questioned by the acting prosecutor and the investigators in charge.
