Operation 'Kurbani 2025' realized at 43 locations: Adequate response to entrusted duties

(Patria) - The "Kurbani 2025" operation, through which the competent institutions of the Islamic Community conduct organized purchase and secure sacrificial animals for humanitarian needs and the needs of educational institutions in our country, is being successfully realized at 43 locations.

The Student Center of the Islamic Community is one of the locations where the distribution of the allocated thirds is carried out for those who have decided to sacrifice their animals in this way.

Compliments, congratulations, and praise can be heard on the spot from visitors, both for being welcomed with smiles and kindness, and for the overall organization, minimal waiting, tidiness, and responsibility.

This is certainly one of the practical indicators of a successful response to the undertaken obligation, and the head of the Department for Sacrificial Animals of the Islamic Community's Sabor, Dr. Bilal Memišević, spoke about the progress of the operation.

– Today, by the afternoon prayer time, God willing, all sacrificial animals will be slaughtered. We have also started distributing raw, chilled meat to donors from the homeland and abroad. Also today, delivery has begun for public services and institutions, all those who have submitted a request to the Islamic Community for the allocation of raw sacrificial meat – said Dr. Memišević.

The plan is to begin the meat processing process on Tuesday, which will later be distributed in the form of processed products by the Office for Social Welfare of the Islamic Community's Sabor.

– What I can state is that the entrusted duties and undertaken obligations have been fulfilled in the best possible way, taking into account Sharia norms, Sharia standards, and veterinary-sanitary regulations and rules – emphasized Dr. Memišević.

Given the number of locations where the operation is being realized, many individuals are involved, from butchers, imams who perform Sharia supervision, experts from the veterinary-sanitary profession, to civilian personnel specifically engaged for this occasion.

– This is a challenging and difficult project, and together with the organization of the Hajj, it is one of the most complex projects in the Islamic Community. It is successfully realized thanks to the people, staff, and infrastructure that the Islamic Community has throughout the country, as well as thanks to the connection with our communities in the diaspora – emphasized Dr. Memišević.

As in previous years, this year's operation confirms the fact that the Islamic Community, as a responsible institution, approaches the realization of religious prescriptions systematically.
