
SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić received today academician and esteemed Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer Abdulah Sidran. During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed academician Sidran's stay in Paris and his meeting with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
Academician Sidran is one of thirty intellectuals from around the world invited by President Macron to Paris for a discussion, and the only intellectual from the Western Balkans. Academician Sidran shared his impressions of this meeting, as well as the conversation he had with President Macron. He also highlighted the significant messages conveyed at this event by world intellectuals and the French President.
The interlocutors also discussed the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and academician Sidran gave the member of the Presidency several useful proposals for improving certain current laws in our country. It was concluded that it would be beneficial to periodically organize meetings of Presidency member Komšić with representatives of the intellectual community, who could offer useful proposals and suggestions on those occasions.
