SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Anis Ajdinović, Director of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs and member of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, stated that inspection supervision is continuing at 14 border crossings on a 24-hour basis.
"All passengers entering BiH via the Federation will be issued an isolation measure, and isolation measures have been issued for 23,164 people who entered BiH since March 15. We are providing these data to cantonal police administrations for verification. We are also providing data to the Inspectorate of Republika Srpska and Brčko District for BiH citizens residing in those areas.
Today, 441 isolation measures expire in the FBiH, and by this time, 14,894 people have completed their 14-day isolation period. Given the large number of people, I will appeal for them to reduce their movement. These are individuals for whom we assume there was no worsening of their condition, who have reported to their epidemiologists and doctors, and isolation measures no longer apply to them," said Ajdinović.
He stated that misdemeanor proceedings will be initiated against 64 individuals for violating isolation measures, in accordance with the Law on Infectious Diseases.
Ajdinović said that in this situation, the Law on Fiscal Systems, Internal Trade, and Prices is being controlled.
One of the journalists' questions was related to the establishment of quarantine at 14 border crossings in the FBiH, as ordered by the Presidency of BiH for passengers entering BiH.
Ajdinović stated that two had already been set up by members of the BiH Armed Forces, and tents are being set up today, which should be completed within the 48 hours requested by the Presidency of BiH.
"They will be held there until the arrival of doctors who will determine further measures. Citizens may have to spend longer than 24 hours in these tent quarantines. All living conditions will be provided. There will be separate tents for individuals with symptoms and those who are healthy. Tent facilities are currently being set up, and I am sure they will be in place within the next 24 hours. Every person entering BiH will undergo a health examination at the border crossing itself," said Ajdinović.
When asked when relaxation of measures, or even the opening of some facilities, can be expected, the member of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters said it is too early to talk about it.
"I think it is too early to talk about it; we are listening to our epidemiologists and experts. At this moment, the FBiH is not ready for lenient measures; I am still in favor of more restrictive measures, not to punish anyone or exert pressure, but to save all our lives, and the measures are showing results. I hope we will be one of the few countries, and we already are, that has followed all recommendations.
He emphasized that FUZIP also controls goods entering BiH within its jurisdiction.
"We have goods flow at two border crossings and have ensured 24-hour control. Despite exhausted staff capacities, we are trying to ensure all goods are controlled from a sanitary, hygienic, and health aspect.
Any corruption is absolutely unacceptable, and if we detect anything regarding the control of goods and passengers, we will prevent and sanction it," concluded Ajdinović.
