Agency for Management of Confiscated Property 200,000 KM

The FBiH Government today adopted the Decision on approving the Work Plan of the Federal Agency for Management of Confiscated Property for 2015, reports the Patria News Agency.

Given that the Agency was established by law at the end of 2014, and began operations with the appointment of its director at the beginning of June 2015, this plan does not stem from a three-year work plan, as stipulated by the Decree on Work Planning and Reporting of the FBiH Government, federal ministries and institutions.

The goal of the annual work plan, which is adopted for less than six months, is mainly to create a good foundation for the Agency to perform its legal responsibilities in the upcoming year 2016.

For 2015, the execution of several strategic goals is planned, including creating conditions for the Agency's operation and for taking over and managing confiscated property in accordance with the Law.

The plan also includes developing an appropriate methodology for collecting indicators, statistical reports, and other information necessary for conducting expert analyses within the Agency's jurisdiction. Additionally, cooperation with other competent institutions should be established for the training of state and police officers and judicial officials in the area of financial investigations and confiscation of proceeds of crime.

By the end of 2015, financial prerequisites for the Agency's operation will be created. In accordance with legal obligations, the Agency will report to the FBiH Government, and if necessary, to the FBiH Parliament, as well as to the general public, on the processes of confiscation and management of illegally acquired property.

These strategic goals and activities in 2015 are fully aligned with the allocated funds in this year's FBiH Budget of 200,000 KM for the Agency's operations, it was announced by the FBiH Government.
