Nuclear Safety Agency Receives 5,500 Protective Masks from Chinese Corporation for Isotopes

(Patria) - The State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (DRARNS) will today receive 5,500 protective masks, a donation from the China Isotope and Radiation Corporation (CIRC), People's Republic of China.

The handover of the donated equipment will take place at the premises of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Sarajevo between 10 AM and 12 PM, DRARNS announced.

Considering the current situation on the ground due to the danger of further spread of the infectious disease caused by coronavirus (Covid-19), DRARNS has decided to keep only a small portion of the donated masks for its needs in carrying out its responsibilities, and to forward the rest to medical institutions in order to continue with diagnostic services that include the use of devices that produce ionizing radiation (X-ray or CT).
