Agency to manage five apartments and parking confiscated from Berilo and others

(Patria) - Officials of the Federal Agency for the Management of Confiscated Property yesterday, with the assistance of the Court
Police in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Center of the Court
Police in Canton Sarajevo and police
officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo – Trnovo Police Department took over valuable real estate on
Bjelašnica, municipality of Trnovo.

These properties were temporarily confiscated by the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo by decision number: 09 0 K 046598 24 Kpp 30 dated 23.08.2024.
year from the suspects in order to secure the confiscation of property benefits suspected to have been acquired through the committed criminal offenses of "abuse of position or authority", "money laundering" and
"conspiracy to commit criminal offenses" in the amount of approximately KM 3,000,000.00, and entrusted to the Federal Agency
for the Management of Confiscated Property for management.

These include five apartments, namely: apartment number 14 - with a monetary value of KM 160,931.00, apartment number: 17 - with a monetary value of KM 283,753.00, apartment number: 25 - with a monetary value of KM 212,000.00, and apartments number: 32 and 33 - with a monetary value of KM 414,00.00, as well as one parking space and a storage room valued at KM 57,054.00.

As this is a temporary measure to secure property benefits acquired through criminal offenses, the Federal
Agency for the Management of Confiscated Property will take all necessary measures to preserve the value
of the taken property until the competent court makes a final decision in this procedure.

"This is another indicator of the full implementation of the Law on Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property through Criminal
Offenses, which sends a clear message that crime does not pay. By exercising its jurisdiction, the Agency has
once again proven itself as a reliable partner to domestic and international institutions in the fight against
organized crime and corruption, and continues its intensive work on this and other received
cases," stated director Emir Bašić.
