Commission investigating state of judiciary keeps 'Tegeltija and shoeing' affair in focus

(Patria) - The 'Shoeing' affair in the judiciary, involving the first man of the HJPC Milan Tegeltija, will not be forgotten thanks to the investigative commission of the PSBiH that will examine the state of judicial institutions.

International officials are also satisfied with the formation of this body, as they believe that the work of this commission will have positive effects both on the functioning of the judiciary and on uncovering shortcomings in the judiciary. The constituent session of this Commission will be held soon, and in the following stages, responsible persons from the judiciary will be summoned to hearings, first and foremost Milan Tegeltija, as well as other members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.

In the Parliament, all deputies supported the conclusion of Damir Arnaut, who proposed the establishment of this commission. However, the SNSD, which did not even attend the session, did not propose its members. We recall that at the urgent session of the House of Representatives, in the conclusion proposed by Damir Arnaut and supported by the deputies of the House of Representatives, it is stated that the goals of this commission will be to investigate the state of judicial institutions in BiH, with special reference to the ability of the HJPC of BiH to participate in the processes necessary on BiH's path to EU membership.

"According to the adopted conclusion, the investigative commission has the task of carrying out all actions necessary to achieve these goals, in accordance with the Law on Parliamentary Oversight and the Rules of Procedure. The Commission, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, has at least five and at most nine members. Each club that wishes to participate in the work of the commission may submit one member of the commission, no later than seven days from the adoption of this conclusion," the conclusion states.

In the event that after the expiry of the said deadline the provisions of the Rules of Procedure regarding entity representation have not been respected, the club that has already submitted members from that entity may submit the missing number of members from the same entity within an additional period of three days.
