Adnan Kešmer one of the Athletes of the Heart: People felt what it's like to play sitting volleyball

On March 1, 2016, a theatre performance and exhibition "Athletes of the Heart" by Nermin Hamzagić were held at the Ars Aevi Museum, paying tribute to the representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in sitting volleyball, who are our most decorated sports team, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Through this extraordinary performance, visitors had the opportunity to play volleyball with the representatives and feel a part of the atmosphere that prevails among them on the court.

The representatives were delighted with the idea and the visitors' interest, and one of the representatives, Adnan Kešmer, told Patria that the feeling is indescribable.

- I am glad that such things are happening here and that someone has paid us so much attention. Thanks to the good people who participated in this project. I am glad that the people who came to the exhibition could see and sit with us, to feel what it is like to play sitting volleyball - said Kešmer, who was declared the best libero in the world at the 2014 World Championship.

The night was filled with emotions, tears, but also laughter. The portrait exhibition is open until March 6 from 10 AM to 6 PM. The portraits were created by photographer Velija Hasanbegović.

The project was co-produced by the Art Hub Association and the MESS International Theatre Festival, with the partnership of the Museum of Contemporary Art Ars Aevi.

Members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Sitting Volleyball Team who are part of the project are Ismet Godinjak, Adnan Manko, Armin Šehić, Adnan Kešmer, Asim Medić, Mirzet Duran, Nizam Čančar, Dževad Hamzić, Benis Kadrić, Ermin Jusufović, Sabahudin Delalić, and Safet Alibašić.
