SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On Saturday, the owner of the company Absolute Group d.o.o. from Travnik, Nihad Selimović, visited Sapna with his team and made a valuable donation.
In addition to the disinfection tunnel, protective equipment in the form of masks and gloves was also donated to the Health Center in Sapna.
"Health institutions are the first line of defense in the fight against the coronavirus, and we must take special care of them," said Selimović.
The first tunnel was donated on Friday to JU Hospital Travnik, the second today to the Health Center in Sapna. On Monday, it is planned to hand over the donation to the Health Center in Jablanica, and on Tuesday to the hospital dr. fra Mato Nikolić in Nova Bila and J.U. Health Center Travnik.
At the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the development of the situation was uncertain and workers were laid off from production activities, the company ABSOLUTE GROUP and the brand NUMBER1 chose a different path, with the aim of preserving jobs and providing assistance to society during the crisis. First and foremost, the company redirected its production facilities to the production of protective masks, and after that, thanks to quality resources, it launched the production of disinfection tunnels.
The production itself was not easy at all, and it had to be reacted to immediately!
With a team of top engineers and experts who worked day and night on designing and testing the best solution, the tunnel was made and certified in record time. Given the complexity of the situation in the country and the desire to contribute to minimizing the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company's management decided that the first tunnels produced would be donated to those who need them most, which are certainly health institutions.
"From the very beginning of production, which was put into function for the protection of people's health, most of the products have been donated to various institutions. We did not want to talk about it because we believe that it is not the time to promote anything other than health protection. During the donation of the first tunnel to JU Hospital Travnik, the media followed this act, and of course, we thank them for it, especially for drawing attention to the importance of a professional approach in the production, installation, and use of tunnels. Since I am also a doctor, in all my addresses to the media, I emphasize the importance of a professional approach to tunnel production as well as the use of licensed disinfectants. I understand the goodwill of all companies that produce them, and that is commendable, but we must be aware that with an amateur approach, we can do more harm than good. The mechanisms that activate the sprayers in the tunnel are very demanding and must be handled by experienced engineers, and the substances used must be certified and tested. If someone does not use such substances, it is necessary to warn people that such substances must not be inhaled. In our tunnels, the disinfectants are licensed and can be inhaled. With every tunnel donation, we undertake to donate additional quantities of disinfectant to fill the tanks as long as the pandemic lasts," the company's statement said.
