5 MILLION KM KS Assembly to Consider Law on Subsidies for Youth on October 15, but Conditions Must Be Met First

(Patria) - The next session of the KS Assembly, scheduled for October 15, will also include the Bill on additional financial subsidies for beneficiaries of the public call for subsidizing the resolution of housing issues for young people for 2023 - expedited procedure.

This law establishes the right to payment of additional financial subsidies to subsidy beneficiaries in the total amount of 5 million KM, which will be divided equally among each beneficiary who meets the conditions in accordance with this law.

Given that almost two years have passed since the public call, and that the public call related to the period of 2022 as well, beneficiaries will have to meet certain conditions to receive the subsidy difference.

As stipulated by the Law, the Ministry of Communal Economy will, within 15 days of the law coming into force, notify all candidates about the obligation to submit the documentation required for the payment. The Ministry will prescribe the type, content, and method of submitting the documentation, and after the deadline for submitting valid documentation, the Ministry will compile and submit the final list of beneficiaries to the KS Government for confirmation and decision-making on the payment of funds.

Although not specified in this law, but to be determined later by the Ministry, KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk previously announced that beneficiaries will have to prove that the property is still in their ownership, i.e., that they have not sold it, which would result in the loss of their subsidy right.
