4th Coca-Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market: Komšić, Barth and Asin flip the switch on the Christmas tree

After extensive work on setting up the Coca Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market, everything is ready for the moment when the Market will open its doors to visitors for the fourth time, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Market will be officially opened on Wednesday, 10 December at 6:30 PM by lighting the richly decorated Christmas tree, over 20 metres high. The tradition of lighting the central city Christmas tree by the heads of the City Administration continues, so this year the switch on the tree will be pressed by the Mayor of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ivo Komšić, along with the Head of the USAID Mission in BiH – David Barth, and the Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to BiH – Melvin Asin.

After the tree is lit, Đorđe Jovančić and the children's choir of the Basics singing school will perform on the BH Telecom ULTRA Stage, and at 9 PM the Lana Hamza Band will warm up the atmosphere in the PAN Winter Pub.

We invite all citizens of Sarajevo to complete the opening of the fourth edition of the Sarajevo holiday market with their presence, created with the aim of enhancing the atmosphere during the holidays, which are celebrated over the 36 days of this event.

The Coca Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market is a joint activity of the Association for Improved Business Zone - ZUP Baščaršija and the Sarajevo Navigator Foundation, created under the auspices of the USAID – Sida Firma Project and under the patronage of the City of Sarajevo.

This year's Coca-Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market is part of the project “PHOENIX – Culture for the Future”, financed by the EU and implemented by the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, the Improved Business Zone (ZUP) Baščaršija and the Sarajevo Navigator Foundation.
