A delegation of the "Black Swans" Veterans Association today marked the anniversary of the death of the hero of the defence-liberation war Ramiz Salčin by reciting Fatiha and laying flowers at the memorial. Salčin was the commander of the Territorial Defence Staff of the Municipality of Novi Grad, writes the Patria News Agency.

He was born on May 13, 1954, in the village of Gornji Igri, settlement Borač, Municipality of Gacko. He died on August 22, 1992, in the Sarajevo settlement of Saraj-Polje from a sniper shot that came from the direction of Nedžarići.

He was posthumously awarded the highest war recognition "Golden Lily", and he is also the recipient of the order "Golden Coat of Arms with Swords". His name is borne by a sports hall, a street, and a square in Sarajevo.
