Zvizdić in Washington: US to continue providing assistance to BiH in implementing difficult reforms

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met in Washington, in separate meetings, with Charles Kupchan, Director for European Affairs at the US National Security Council and with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Hoyt Brian Yee, it was announced from the Council of Ministers, reports the Patria News Agency. 

He informed them about the fulfillment of conditions for membership in the European Union, the degree of realization of tasks for activating the MAP and for the continuation of NATO integration, as well as about the economic and political situation in BiH, and the degree of realization of the Economic Reform Agenda.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for the support that the US provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He informed them about the progress made so far in implementing reforms. Director Kupchan and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Yee said that the US will continue to support BiH in implementing difficult reforms and that it is necessary to preserve the momentum that BiH has on the Euro-Atlantic path.

Chairman Zvizdić said that BiH has fulfilled a large part of the conditions for activating the Action Plan for NATO membership, and that he hopes for a positive result at the summit in Warsaw. BiH Ambassador to the US Haris Hrle attended the meetings, according to the statement.
