Zvizdić discussed investments in BiH with the Director of the Qatar Investment Agency

DOHA, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met in Doha with the Executive Director of the Qatar Investment Agency (QIA) Abdullah bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani to discuss investment potentials and the future activities of QIA in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Zvizdić informed the President of QIA about the current economic and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He emphasized that the Council of Ministers of BiH has clear priorities focused on reform processes, economic development, and our country's European path. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is working on improving the business environment, recording constant economic progress, and is open to businessmen and business projects. He highlighted the interest and readiness of BiH to increase the volume of trade with Qatar, as well as the level of investments.

He pointed out the advantages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country at the doorstep of the EU, with huge investment potentials in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism, metal, and wood industries, as well as numerous infrastructure projects for which we are seeking partners.

Chairman Zvizdić and the Executive Director of QIA agreed that it would be beneficial for QIA to open a regional representative office in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Zvizdić expressed his belief that this would bring a positive shift in the economic relations between the two countries and encourage businessmen and companies from Qatar to seek partners and do business in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. He invited Executive Director Al Thani to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Executive Director of QIA stated that a delegation of QIA experts, led by the Director for Development and Investments Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Thani, will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina in the near future.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Ismir Jusko, and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the State of Qatar Tarik Sadović.

After the meeting, the delegation of the Council of Ministers of BiH visited the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.
