Zvizdić and Novalić Send Condolence Telegrams to Brussels

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić sent a telegram of condolence to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Charles Michel on the occasion of the series of terrorist attacks in Brussels, reports the news agency Patria.

- On behalf of the Council of Ministers of BiH and in my own name, I extend my sincere condolences to you, the Belgian people, and the families of the victims. We were deeply shaken by this morning's horrific news about the series of terrorist attacks in Brussels.

The Council of Ministers of BiH remains open to any form of international cooperation aimed at strengthening the rule of law and security. We believe that joint cooperation of states is the only way to eradicate this evil which, by indiscriminately spreading fear, undermines the foundations of modern civilization - states Chairman Zvizdić's telegram.

On the occasion of the terrorist attacks in Brussels in which dozens of innocent people were killed, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić also sent, on behalf of the Government of FBiH and in his own name, telegrams of condolence to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Vienna, Willem van de Voorde, and the Special Representative of the European Union in our country Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.

- Brussels, as the seat of the European Union, was not accidentally chosen as the target of this terrible act of terrorism. This is not only an attack on Belgium and Belgians, but on the idea of a common, civilized, free Europe.

This attack must unite us even more in the fight against terrorism as a global and ubiquitous evil.

Expressing deep regret for the loss of life, I ask you to convey the most sincere expressions of condolence to the people of Belgium, and especially to the families of the victims, and wishes for a swift and successful recovery to the injured citizens - says Prime Minister Novalić's condolence.
