Zvizdić and Mogherini: Brussels expects adoption of excise tax laws

A Stabilisation and Association Council meeting between BiH and the European Union (EU) was held in Brussels. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić emphasized the importance of BiH's European integration for the country and the region.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić stated that the meeting was held in an extremely constructive atmosphere. Among other things, the fight against all forms of crime and extremism was discussed, reports N1.

- BiH has taken very significant steps in the fight against terrorism. We are fully committed to further strengthening regional cooperation - Zvizdić stated.

He thanked Mogherini for the initiative at the end of 2014, which, as he stated, opened new European energy for BiH.

- 2016 is the most successful European year for BiH. When our application was accepted and when we received the EC Questionnaire, which is currently being implemented. BiH's European future is completely certain. On this European path, we often face obstructions from those who are not sufficiently committed to EU integration or are only declaratively committed. We are facing problems, but we are solving them with the help of EU representatives. We will certainly get closer to the EU day by day. This is our most important foreign policy goal - Zvizdić stated, adding that some processes are delayed due to obstructions.
