Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić spoke today in Sarajevo with the President of the Senate of the Republic of Italy, Pietro Grasso, who is on an official visit to our country, reports the Patria news agency.
Chairman Zvizdić thanked for Italy's assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina so far. He said that Italy is a sincere friend of BiH who stood by us in the most difficult moments.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with yesterday's decision of the EU Council of Ministers to activate the SAA for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Zvizdić said that BiH will form working groups for the implementation of the SAA as soon as possible in order to meet the necessary conditions for structural adjustment even before the planned deadline of 6 years. He emphasized that Euro-Atlantic integration is a strategic commitment of BiH and that the goal is to obtain candidate status within the next 4 years.
He highlighted the commitment of the Council of Ministers of BiH to socio-economic reforms as the first step towards improving the business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that the reform package is an integral part of structural adjustment to the European Union with the aim of attracting foreign investment and creating new jobs, all to improve the lives of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Zvizdić said that the signing of bilateral agreements on economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of agriculture, which are in preparation, should be concluded as soon as possible in order to create a legal framework for improving economic cooperation between the two countries, which is not negligible.
President of the Senate Grasso expressed support for the reform efforts of the Council of Ministers of BiH. He said that Italy supports BiH's Euro-Atlantic path and that BiH can always count on Italy's friendly assistance on that path. He added that we are all dealing with the same issues of employment today, especially of young people, and that is why he is pleased with the dedication of the Council of Ministers of BiH to economic issues, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
