Official statement from SIPA regarding operational action codenamed 'Rudnik'

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (18.2.2021) carried out an operational action codenamed "Rudnik", during which six people were deprived of liberty due to grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 340 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina "Organizing for the commission of a criminal offense", in connection with the criminal offense under Article 383 "Abuse of position or authority" of the same law.

Searches were conducted on persons, residential and business premises, and movable property at nine locations in Tuzla, Gračanica, and Živinice used by six individuals. During the searches, items that will serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily confiscated. The suspects are currently at SIPA premises and are undergoing criminal processing.

The aforementioned activities were carried out under the orders of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton and the Municipal Court in Tuzla, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton.
