"Yellow Vests" on the streets of France, clashes with police and arrests reported

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Protests by the "Yellow Vests" have continued in France, with the 24th round coming after French President Emmanuel Macron promised to reduce income tax in order to alleviate economic problems in France.

According to French media reports, protests began today in Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.

Almost every time the "Yellow Vests" have taken to the streets, the police have had their hands full, and last weekend 126 demonstrators were arrested.

In Strasbourg, clashes occurred between police and demonstrators, with protesters earlier appealing to people to take to the streets of Strasbourg, prompting local authorities to ban gatherings near EU institutions.

Macron was supposed to announce major economic reforms last week, but his plans were disrupted after a fire broke out at the Notre Dame Cathedral.
