Zubac shoots blanks: Prosecution will not investigate Marković and Ćavar

The BiH Prosecutor's Office will not conduct an investigation against prosecutor Miroslav Marković, based on the report filed against him and Mladen Ćavar, Deputy Minister of Security of BiH, by the Agency for Investigations and Protection of BiH (SIPA), i.e., director Goran Zubac, was confirmed for the Patria news agency by the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

- The BiH Prosecutor's Office has issued an order not to conduct an investigation regarding the submitted report. The order not to conduct an investigation was issued because it is evident from the report and accompanying files that the reported act is not a criminal offense, and that there is no basis for suspecting that the reported persons have committed a criminal offense - they state at the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

As Patria learns, with this report, Zubac tried to divert attention from his own case (the BiH Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Zubac, accusing him of not reacting promptly during the February protests in Sarajevo when the BiH Presidency building was set on fire), and he chose the prosecutor who filed the indictment and Ćavar, who, within legal procedures, requested that Zubac's access to classified information be revoked, as targets of his attack.

Otherwise, SIPA submitted a report to the BiH Prosecutor's Office on the existence of grounds for suspicion of a committed criminal offense against Marković and Ćavar, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority, or rather, an extended criminal offense of complicity in the proceedings after the initiation of criminal proceedings against the director of SIPA, Goran Zubac.

The director of SIPA is known for previously getting rid of dissenters within the service with non-existent reports and suspensions.
