The Cursed Island of Gaiola

One of the smaller islands near Naples, the island of Gaiola, is undoubtedly beautiful, but eerie.

Locals call it the cursed island due to the numerous deaths of its owners.

Its first inhabitant, who lived a solitary life, simply disappeared one day without a trace.

The next owner died of a heart attack, and the one after him ended his life by suicide.

And yes, these are just a few cases. After all these events, the island is currently uninhabited and deserted.

Who knows, perhaps in the near future, considering the Italian practice of settlement in recent years, the authorities will pay someone to settle the island.

Peeling Fruit

People in Italy usually don't eat fruit, such as apples, pears, and peaches, with the peel on. Instead, they peel it first, which most foreigners find unusual.

The explanation for this is that Italians want to eat healthy food and believe that the pesticides applied to it are not properly removed, even after washing.

The reason for this is that by rearranging the Roman numeral XVII, the word "VIXI" can be created, which translates from Latin as "my life is over".
