Golden statuettes for the film Birdman, Julianne Moore and Redmayne

Last night, the 87th Academy Awards ceremony was held, and in the category for best film, the golden statuette went to Birdman, while Mexican director Alejandro G. Inarritu also received an Oscar for directing, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The award for best documentary went to Citizenfour, which is about Edward Snowden and the NSA spy scandal.

The golden statue for best actor went to Briton Eddie Redmayne in the film 'The Theory of Everything'.  Julianne Moore was the best in the category for best actress in the film 'Still Alice' about a woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Patricia Arquette won an Oscar for best supporting actress for her role as a brave mother in Richard Linklater's film 'Boyhood'.

J.K. Simmons is the winner of the Oscar award for best supporting actor for his role as a psychotic jazz teacher in Damien Chazelle's 'Whiplash'.
