ŽEPČE: Section of M-17 highway flooded

(Patria) The rain that started falling with greater intensity this morning in the area of Žepče and Zavidovići has already, in the afternoon hours, after several heavy downpours, brought significant problems to traffic and damages to households. In the area of Zavidovići, drivers are warned of landslides on the Zavidovići - Banovići road section and of stones and debris on the road.

Roads in several suburban settlements have been flooded, and traffic is difficult on the section of the regional road Žepče - Zavidovići due to overflowing streams and debris on the roadway in Bistrica.

Regarding the municipality of Žepče, an increase in the water levels of the Papratnica and Krajnjača rivers has been recorded, with Papratnica already overflowing in several places.

The underpass in Žepče at the very entrance to the city is still closed, and traffic is being rerouted via alternative routes to Papratnica and Ograjna. Currently, road communications in the area of Novo Šeher are interrupted.
