Zenica: Weapons and over five kilograms of drugs found, 32-year-old arrested

(Patria) - Officials of the Criminal Police Department of Police Administration I in Zenica arrested S.M. (1994) in Zenica today, who is suspected of stealing 14,000 KM from an apartment in Potok street on December 31, 2025.

As part of the activities to document the aggravated theft, a search of the apartment used by the said person, as well as common areas of the residential building in Potok street, was also conducted.



4,275 grams of a powdery substance resembling the narcotic drug amphetamine (speed), as well as 910 grams of plant matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, were found.

A pistol, five rounds of pistol ammunition, two tablets resembling the narcotic drug ecstasy, and 730 KM and 530 euros were also found, the ZDK Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.



The found weapons and substances were seized and will be subject to necessary expert examinations and checks, and will be used as evidence in further proceedings.

The arrested person is known to the police as a repeat offender for property crimes and drug-related offenses.



Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested person, after which they will be handed over to the jurisdiction and further proceedings of the Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton tomorrow.

The person is suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs" and a criminal offense from the Law on the Acquisition, Possession, and Carrying of Weapons and Ammunition of ZDK, in connection with the criminal offense of "Aggravated Theft".
