Zenica: Campaign "Narcissus Against Breast Cancer" on Saturday

The citizens' association “ŽIVOT” Zenica will organize a campaign called “Narcissus Against Breast Cancer” starting at 11 a.m. in front of the former Bosanka department store, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Daffodil Day is the world day of the fight against breast cancer, traditionally marked on the last Saturday in March.

The trend of women falling ill with breast cancer is on the rise, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina more than 2,000 cases are recorded annually, while seven hundred die due to late-stage detection of the disease.

That this disease is reaching large proportions is also shown by data that in EU countries, every two minutes a woman falls ill, and every six minutes one dies, which is alarming.
