Woman fatally injured while burning low vegetation in Tuzla

(Patria) - A female individual identified as M.T. (1950) was fatally injured in a fire that broke out in the Prokopac settlement in Gornja Tuzla.

Police officers from the East Police Station of the Tuzla Police Department were informed that while burning low vegetation, a woman who was clearing a plot of land and burning brush fell into the fire.

"A patrol from the East Police Station, the Emergency Medical Service of the Tuzla Health Center, and the Professional Firefighting Unit of Tuzla were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the duty doctor from the Tuzla Health Center confirmed the death of the injured woman," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton Police Administration.

Furthermore, an investigation team from the Criminal Investigations Department of the Tuzla Police Department was also dispatched to the scene and will undertake further actions under the instructions of the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Tuzla Canton, when conditions permit. The fire at the mentioned location is still active.
