National Museum of BiH Partner of the 13th Kid's Festival

A memorandum of cooperation between this institution and the Kid's Festival was signed today in the garden of the National Museum of BiH. In the presence of close associates, the memorandum was signed by Susanne Prahl, director of the Kid's Festival, and Mirsad Sijarić, acting director of the National Museum of BiH. The signing of the cooperation protocol will enable organized groups of children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit the permanent exhibitions of the National Museum of BiH during the 13th Kid's Festival and to participate in a workshop on archaeology, reports Patria.

- With this cooperation, our revised festival concept is complete. In addition to most of our programs taking place in the strict city center this year, where we present the talent of the youngest to a numerous audience, in the premises of this Museum, we will expose the youngest visitors to the entire richness of Bosnia and Herzegovina's cultural heritage - stated Prahl.

Director Sijarić said that it is of great importance to have cooperation with respectable partners from both BiH and abroad.

- The Kid's Festival is a recognizable project in our society, as are its activities and goals, so we are pleased to link some of our services with the programs of the Kids Festival. The signed memorandum will be of great contribution to the Museum and the entire society - stated Sijarić.

Siniša Šešum, Head of the UNESCO Office in BiH, said that this is an important promotion of both the goals of the Kid's Festival and the National Museum, because this Museum is not just an institution that preserves exhibits, but a true source of knowledge.

- The three years the museum was closed represent a huge gap that we must now make up for together and give children the chance to see as much as possible - he emphasized.

Under the auspices of UNESCO, the 13th KIDS Festival will be held from June 3rd to 6th at Alija Izetbegović Square and in the Dom oružanih snaga BiH.
