Zelenskyy: Ukraine offers fast and constructive deal to the United States on security and investments

(Patria) - President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday that Ukraine is ready to work quickly and tirelessly on crafting a strong and beneficial agreement on investments and security with the United States, Reuters reported.

Zelenskyy said on social media platform X that he had a "good discussion" with Keith Kellogg, the US envoy for Ukraine and Russia.

The meeting took place a day after Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump exchanged insults as US-Russian talks began on ending Moscow's three-year war against Kyiv. Ukraine was not invited to those talks.

"We must and can ensure that peace is strong and lasting - so that Russia can never return with war," Zelenskyy wrote.

"Ukraine is ready for a strong, effective agreement on investment and security with the President of the United States. We proposed the fastest and most constructive way to achieve results. Our team is ready to work 24/7."

Zelenskyy said his conversation with Kellogg focused on the situation on the battlefield, the security guarantees Ukraine is seeking, and the return of prisoners of war.
