Zelensky: Russia preparing new major attacks on Ukraine

(Patria) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says intelligence indicates Russia is preparing for new major attacks on Ukraine.

- Some of today's tasks are aimed at air defence. Currently, intelligence indicates that the Russians are preparing for new massive attacks.

We are openly discussing air defence missiles, systems that we need so badly, with our partners.

Supplies are insufficient. We are trying to speed things up and it is important that our partners hear us - Zelensky said last night in his video address.

He stated that much is being done at the level of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and called on citizens to pay attention to air raid warnings.

In his address on January 8, Zelensky also warned of a possible major Russian attack during the night of January 8-9. That night, Russian forces hit the Lviv region with an Oreshnik ballistic missile, and its remnants were later found by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The Russians also attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv region, where their main targets were residential areas and critical and transport infrastructure.
