Zelensky: Negotiations to end the war very close to a real result

(Patria) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that negotiations being conducted with the US and European countries, aimed at ending the nearly four-year war with Russia, are very close to a real result.

Ukrainian negotiators, led by senior official Rustem Umerov, together with representatives from Europe, have held a series of meetings with American envoys, including meetings held in recent days in Florida.

Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev, an envoy of President Vladimir Putin for investments, also held separate talks with US officials in Florida.

Both Ukrainian and Russian officials said their teams are returning home on Monday to report on the outcome of the talks.

"It seems that everything was worth the effort... And what is important here is that this is the work of both us (Ukraine) and the US, which indicates that we are very close to a real result," Zelensky said at a gathering dedicated to Ukrainian diplomats.
