Zelensky: Our forces in Kursk control 64,000 Russian soldiers

(Patria) - Ukrainian forces are not surrounded in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, and the presence of defense forces is not limited only to the territory of the Kursk region, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing.

- Russia does not want a ceasefire, and we see that. We understand what they want, what their next steps are, where they are gathering their military forces, where shelling and offensive attacks are increasing.

For example, we see more than 200 attacks along the entire front line, which is definitely an increase. This could have happened a few days ago, but the weather was not favorable. Now we see that they will do it - said Zelensky.

He emphasized that the Russians want to push Ukrainian defense forces out of the Kursk region.

- They need steps, they really want to push us completely out of the Kursk region, but everyone understands and confirms - now our generals, colleagues, and representatives of France and Britain have confirmed that there is no encirclement.

We are in the territory of the Kursk region and our presence is not limited only to that region - said Zelensky.

He pointed out that the Ukrainian army controls 64,000 Russian soldiers in the Kursk region.

- For now, we control the situation, we are there and that is very important to us. We are holding a large number of forces - 64,000 Russians in the Kursk region - concluded Zelensky.
