ZDK wants to attract investments from Kuwait

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton, by authorization, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Spahija Kozlić and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Mirsad Hadžić spoke at the Government headquarters with a delegation from the Kuwait Business Council (KBC) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The KBC delegation included Director and Chairman of the Board Nasser Alshaiji, Board Member Fahad Alasfar, and KBC Director for BiH Dijana Džaferović.

Ministers Kozlić and Hadžić informed the guests from Kuwait about the potentials and resources of this canton in all areas, stating that attracting investments and employment is one of the key priorities of the ZDK Government.

They stated that some of the largest companies in BiH operate in ZDK in all sectors, especially in the food, metal, wood, and agricultural industries, and that the ZDK economy represents the backbone of the economy of FBiH and BiH. In this regard, they advocated for strengthening cooperation between the two countries and attracting Kuwaiti capital.

KBC representatives stated that the State of Kuwait wants to boost economic cooperation with BiH and that strengthening overall bilateral relations, especially economic cooperation, is the main priority of this organization. They informed the members of the Government about the obstacles investors face, as well as specific problems with the export of certain goods from BiH to Kuwait and the procurement of raw materials for Kuwaiti companies in our country.
