Due to the flag of RBiH: Tokić's trial on April 4, if found guilty at least 3 years in prison

At the Basic Court in Banja Luka on April 4, a hearing will be held at which Sejfudin Tokić and Adnan Bajrić are to plead guilty or not guilty. The indictment against Tokić and Bajrić for the „criminal offense of inciting national, racial, and religious hatred and intolerance“ was confirmed on October 12 last year, writes the news agency Patria.

They are accused of having, on May 22, 2015, in Srpska Street in Banja Luka, „displayed the war flag of the Army of RBiH, as a reminder of the day when BiH became a member of the United Nations without entities“.

As stated in the indictment, this occurred in the area between the City Administration and the Temple of Christ the Savior, during a commemoration marking the anniversary of the suffering of 12 babies at the Banja Luka Clinical Center in 1992.

In the meantime, the indictment against Tokić has been expanded due to the promotion of his book "New Bosniak Politics - It Matters to be a Bosniak", whose, according to what he is charged with, basic idea is the abolition of the RS.

The legal penalty prescribed for the criminal offense with which Tokić and Bajrić are charged is at least 3 to 15 years in prison.

It was an act of patriotism

We recall, Tokić said after the confirmation of the indictment that what he did on May 22 was an act of patriotism, because he believes that in no city in BiH should displaying the flag of the Republic of BiH be prohibited, as it cannot incite religious or national hatred with any symbol.

He then announced that he would respond to the summons for the trial, because it would be a pleasure for him to “teach the politicized judges and prosecutors about the legal order of BiH and international conventions”.
