Demolition of facilities on the First Transversal section uncertain due to "Penny plus" complaint

(Patria) - The date for the demolition of facilities on the First Transversal section from Kranjčevićeva Street to Braće Begić Street is uncertain due to a complaint filed by the company "Penny plus", which is the key information that all participants of the regular weekly meeting of the Operational Team for monitoring the implementation of the First Transversal construction project were informed about today. 

At the meeting, led by the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto, all conclusions made at last week's working meeting of the team members were also analyzed individually.

It was highlighted that the Institute for Construction of Sarajevo Canton has sent materials related to one plot to the KS Government and Assembly for processing, which has the opinion of the Legal Affairs Office, thus opening up the possibility of building a roundabout at the junction of Alipašina Street with the First Transversal. 

It was announced that procedures for two more plots are underway, for which the opinion of the legal representative is being sought, after which the Institute will also send the necessary materials related to them to the Government and Assembly for processing. These plots also concern the section from Kranjčevića Street to Braće Begić Street.

It was also emphasized that the Institute for Construction of KS has published a Public Call for reaching an amicable solution to property-legal issues along the continuation of the route from Braće Begić Street to the City Highway tunnel.

The Directorate for Roads of KS stated that they have sent an amended request to the Institute for Construction of KS for the issuance of urban planning and construction permits, in order to commence the tunnel construction. The Institute needs to forward this request to the Municipality of Vogošća, so that the aforementioned permits can be issued.
 
Representatives of the municipalities of Novo Sarajevo and Centar informed the attendees about the parceling and expropriation of the land through which this road will pass so far, as well as about those that are still planned to be done.
