A peaceful gathering of residents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for today from 11:55 AM to 7 PM in front of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office building, writes the Patria News Agency.
This information was confirmed to NAP by Irfan Nefić, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, who stated that the protests were announced and that members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had a meeting with the organizers.
- Peaceful protests have been announced, and the time of their holding will be from 11:55 AM to 7 PM – says Nefić.
The protests are organized due to dissatisfaction with the work of government institutions and the non-prosecution of criminal individuals. We remind you that the Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH annulled the first-instance verdict in the Zijad Turković case, which is the reason for the demonstrations. The verdict was annulled in its entirety in the conviction part, and the Prosecutor's appeal on the acquittal part was rejected.
