For Your Health and Safety, Start Long Journeys in the Early Morning Hours

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Due to high daytime temperatures, we recommend starting long journeys in the early morning or late afternoon hours, and if traveling during the day, we advise more frequent breaks, says the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Auto-moto club (BIHAMK).

Due to the event "511 Days of Ajvatovica" in Donji Vakuf and Prusac, traffic will be suspended today from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Also, until tomorrow (June 27) at midnight, the transport of explosives and oversized cargo is prohibited in the territory of the Central Bosnia Canton.

Since yesterday, both lanes of the Crnaja tunnel (on the Konjic-Jablanica road) are operational. As we have been informed, traffic will continue to be suspended during night hours (11 PM - 4:30 AM) until July 1, with the possibility of occasional traffic release if long queues form. From July 1, traffic will alternate, one lane at a time, during night hours.

Due to bridge construction (M06) on the A-1 Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi highway section, traffic is two-way, using the opposite lane from the construction zone.

Construction is underway in the Čaklovići tunnel on the Tuzla-Kalesija road (Simin Han-Caparde section), where traffic is suspended from 10 PM to 6 AM and diverted to an alternative route via Dubrave. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, and from the direction of Kalesija, they use the bypass around the tunnel. Heavy goods vehicles are also directed to the route via Dubrave during the day.

Other roads with ongoing construction include: Doboj-Rudanka, Tarčin-Konjic (Donja Raštelica), Srebrenik-Orašje (Ćehaje settlement), Stolac-Hutovo (Cerovica location) and Banovići-Živinice.

Due to numerous landslides and the risk of mudslides on the Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje main road, passenger vehicles are experiencing difficult travel, while traffic for heavy goods vehicles is suspended.

At border crossings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, waiting times do not exceed 30 minutes.
