(Patria) - State prosecutor Dubravko Čampara has been removed from the 'coup d'état' case, within which an investigation is being conducted against Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković, Istraga learns. Čampara was transferred on Tuesday from the Organized Crime Department of the BiH Prosecutor's Office to the War Crimes Department, and as we learn, both disciplinary and criminal proceedings will be initiated against him.
Chief State Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić has already signed documents removing prosecutor Čampara from the team of prosecutors investigating the leaders of Republika Srpska in connection with the case of an attack on the constitutional order. In addition, Kajganić signed a decision transferring prosecutor Čampara to the War Crimes Department.
According to information from Istraga, prosecutor Čampara was 'punished' for suspicious actions in at least two cases. The first case concerns the concealment of an investigation against businessman and restaurateur from East Sarajevo, Aleksandar Mičić, known as Aco Makedonac, while Čampara's suspicious actions in the case against Dodik were the last straw that forced Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić to react.
We recall that Istraga.ba published documents on Sunday and Monday proving that prosecutor Čampara ordered state police agencies to act on the BiH Court's order and arrest Milorad Dodik six days late. In addition, we have written several times about his connections with restaurateur Aleksandar Mičić, known as Aco Makedonac, and the BiH Prosecutor's Office has now received documents proving that prosecutor Čampara tried to save this businessman from criminal prosecution for the criminal offense of attempted murder.
Čampara and Makedonac
Businessman Aleksandar Mičić, known as Aco Makedonac, is the owner of the La Perla restaurant in East Sarajevo and construction companies. Aljoša Čampara, who registered a company dealing in plastic joinery under other people's names, entered into business with Makedonac. Aljoša Čampara is the brother of state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara. Aco Makedonac is mentioned in Sky communications as an associate of individuals involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. Makedonac is mentioned in Sky communications by Zvornik criminal Bojan Đokić Đorđo, who has been arrested and convicted several times for organized crime. Đorđo, thus, states in Sky communications that he often sits with Aco Makedonac in the Zvornik area, and in one of the communications from the Sky application, he tells Tomislav Petrović, also an underworld figure, that 'Aco Makedonac can get anything done in the judiciary.' It would later turn out that one of Makedonac's connections in the judiciary was actually state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara. The case of the New Year's shooting in 2022 revealed everything.
Namely, on the night between January 1 and 2, 2022, Aleksandar Mičić, known as Aco Makedonac, seriously wounded Aleksandar Sikima. Given that she was on duty that night, the case was assigned to district prosecutor Jasmina Habul, a former associate of prosecutor Dubravko Čampara. Since this act was characterized as attempted murder, the state prosecutor 'pulled' the Makedonac case from the District Prosecutor's Office in East Sarajevo to 'attach' it to his 'extensive investigation' directed 'against' Aco Makedonac. Shortly thereafter, prosecutor Čampara returned the case to East Sarajevo with a note that Aleksandar Mičić did not attempt to kill Aleksandar Sikima, but that it was 'necessary self-defense.' However, prosecutor Čampara's plan failed. In early March of this year, the District Prosecutor's Office in East Sarajevo filed an indictment against Sikima and Makedonac. Both are accused of committing the criminal offense of attempted murder. The competent court confirmed this indictment, further confirming suspicions that Čampara tried to save Aco Makedonac from criminal prosecution.
Incidentally, Istraga.ba published in April last year that Aco Makedonac lobbied members of the VSTV to appoint Dubravko Čampara as Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
When the documentation compromising prosecutor Čampara was submitted to the BiH Prosecutor's Office, he tried to accuse the chief prosecutor and his colleagues of framing him because he 'intensively conducts an investigation against the President of RS Milorad Dodik.' However, documents published by Istraga.ba show that prosecutor Čampara made numerous omissions also within the investigation against Milorad Dodik, which was decisive for Milanko Kajganić to issue a decision transferring Dubravko Čampara to the War Crimes Department.
Čampara – Dodik
Prosecutor Dubravko Čampara was one of nine state prosecutors conducting an investigation against the leaders of Republika Srpska on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order of BiH.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision ordering detention for Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković on March 14. Only six days later, specifically on March 20, state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara submitted the necessary documents to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) for entering the central search into the SIPA system.
That SIPA was late in entering this warrant into the system due to the BiH Prosecutor's Office is also evidenced by the order of state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara, written and submitted to police agencies in BiH on March 20, 2025. We published the document from the BiH Prosecutor's Office on Sunday. From this document, it can be clearly seen that the Prosecutor's Office only on March 20 ordered SIPA, the Border Police of BiH, the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska and the Federal Police Administration to arrest Milorad Dodik, Nenad Stevandić and Radovan Višković.
"The BiH Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation against suspects Milorad Dodik, Radovan Višković and Nenad Stevandić due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of 'Attack on the Constitutional Order', and against these suspects, the BiH Court, by decision number S1 2 K 051500 25 Krn of March 12, 2025, ordered a detention measure, and subsequently issued an order for deprivation of liberty and issuance of a warrant. Bearing in mind that the said persons continued to commit criminal offenses, and that in addition to the special detention reason from Article 132, paragraph 1, point a) (danger of flight, editor's note), conditions were also met for ordering detention due to special detention reasons points b) and c) (influence on witnesses and repetition of the criminal offense, editor's note), with the aim of executing the BiH Court's order for deprivation of liberty, it is necessary that, in accordance with your managerial and legal authorities, you inform all organizational units of your police agency that the said suspects need to be deprived of liberty without delay and brought before the BiH Court," stated prosecutor Čampara.
Although in Čampara's document it says that the Court ordered detention for Milorad Dodik on March 12, the real truth is that detention was ordered on March 14. But based on the number of the BiH Court's Decision appearing in the SIPA document and the document of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, it is clear that it is the same act. Therefore, it is not difficult to conclude that prosecutor Dubravko Čampara kept the warrant for Dodik, Stevandić and Višković in his drawer for days.
Let us recall that state prosecutor Dubravko Čampara was praised by the then director of BIA, Aleksandar Vulin, while guesting on BN Television several years ago.
