Prosecution requests Radončić's return to custody due to violation of prohibitions

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an appeal with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the decision to lift Fahrudin Radončić's custody due to violation of prohibitions imposed on him after his release from custody, confirmed Asim Crnalić, Radončić's lawyer, for Patria.

Although he could not specify the exact grounds for the appeal, Crnalić stated that he would certainly respond to it.

- This is an act of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, let them state the details, and we will certainly respond to the appeal – Crnalić told Patria.

The BiH Court prohibited Radončić from leaving his place of residence, prohibited him from meeting with all witnesses who have already been heard, and from approaching such witnesses within a distance of less than 100 meters, as well as prohibiting mutual contact and meetings with co-defendants in this criminal case, and prohibiting contact with all representatives of print and electronic media regarding matters related to this criminal proceeding.

We remind that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against Fahrudin Radončić, Bakir Dautbašić, Bilsena Šahman, and Zijad Hadžijahić.

The aforementioned persons are accused of, among other things, organizing and becoming members of an organized group of people, which was organized and led by Fahrudin Radončić, and by their actions, mutual agreement, and interconnected actions, during the period from December 14, 2015, to January 12, 2016, committed criminal offenses.

Radončić is specifically accused of association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses (Article 249 of the Criminal Code of BiH), Obstruction of Justice (Article 241 of the Criminal Code of BiH), and Giving a reward or other form of benefit for trading in influence (Article 219 of the Criminal Code of BiH).
