Roads Visoko-Ilijaš, Maglaj-Zavidovići, Podgrab-Jahorina closed due to water overflow

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Traffic remains suspended on regional roads Visoko-Ilijaš (Čekrekčije), Maglaj-Zavidovići (in Maglaj) and Podgrab-Jahorina (in the village of Lisovići) due to water overflowing onto the roadway, BIHAMK has announced.

On the main road Sarajevo-Foča, vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes can travel, while buses and freight vehicles travel via Romanija.

On sections in valleys and along river courses, we warn of reduced visibility due to fog. We draw attention to frequent rockfalls on the roadway. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and inform themselves in a timely manner about the current road conditions.

Due to necessary works, two-way traffic in the opposite lane from the work zone is in effect on the A-1 motorway section Kakanj-Visoko (on the bridge in the settlement of Dobrinje).

On the Tuzla-Kalesija road (due to works in the Čaklovići tunnel), traffic is suspended from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and diverted to an alternative route via Dubrava. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, while from the direction of Kalesija they use the bypass around the tunnel. Freight vehicles are also directed to the road via Dubrava during the day.

Due to rehabilitation works, traffic is suspended on the section of the main road Draksenić-Vrbaška (the road leading to the Gradina border crossing). During the works, passenger vehicles can use the local road (Podgradci-Jablanica-Sjeverovci-Božići), while freight vehicles travel via Banja Luka and Prijedor.

Traffic is moving slowly due to works on the following routes: Konjic-Jablanica (Crnaja tunnel), Donji Vakuf-Jajce (Skela), Nemila-Žepče (Želeće), Doboj-Gračanica (in Klokotnica), Grude-Ljubuški (at the exit from Grude) and Stolac-Hutovo (in the village of Cerovica).

Due to numerous rockfalls and the risk of landslides on the main road Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, passenger vehicles travel with difficulty, while traffic is suspended for freight vehicles.

At border crossings, waiting times are up to 30 minutes.
