The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not close the facilities at Sarajevo markets due to the lack of fiscal cash registers, but rather 231 facilities were closed mainly because they were not registered to conduct business, or because as many as 95 undeclared workers were employed in these facilities, it was confirmed for the Patria news agency from the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH.
In just the last few weeks, the inspection has sealed several markets in Sarajevo. First, the market in Otoka was sealed. The market in Ciglane is also not operating. In Vogošća, the stalls are also empty. Earlier, stalls in Zenica were closed. Similar actions are expected in other cities in BiH.
- Some traders have been working for years without operating permits. In addition, they do not declare workers, do not pay taxes... They drive cars worth more than 100,000 marks, yet criticize the work of the Administration for closing facilities... The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH wants to bring taxpayers into the system and build partnership and transparent relations with them based on the law - it was said for Patria from the Administration.
When it comes to fiscal cash registers at markets, the Administration explains that according to current regulations, these facilities are not obliged to have fiscal devices. The obligation to possess a fiscal device and issue receipts is prescribed by the Law on Fiscal Systems, with the provision that the Government of the Federation of BiH can, by its decision, exempt certain activities from this obligation, writes Patria.
