Why the police refuse to release footage of the police officer's murder in Zvornik, even nearly a year after the attack

Nerdin Ibrić killed one police officer and wounded two others in front of the police station in Zvornik on April 27, 2015. Ibrić was also killed in the exchange of fire.

This case was characterized as a terrorist act. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina formed an investigative team that is still working on the investigation in this case, Patria writes.

Kasim Mehidić and Avdulah Hasanović, who were arrested on suspicion of involvement in this case, are now free.

It is indicative that the police, nearly a year after the incident, have not released the footage of the murder of police officer Dragan Đurić, as well as of the attacker Ibrić himself.

The entire police station in Zvornik is covered by security cameras. The footage of the murder exists! But the police are hiding it for some reason!

After the murder, the media reported that Ibrić entered the station shouting „Allahu akbar“, after which he started shooting. The attacker was also characterized as a member of radical Islamic circles. Such media reports caused enormous pressure on Bosniak returnees in the RS. Some returnees were threatened, as well as their property.

However, such claims were not confirmed in the official report of the investigators.

A source of Patria, close to high-ranking intelligence circles in Bosnia and Herzegovina, now reveals new details regarding the incident in Zvornik. He claims that months earlier, someone had been convincing Ibrić that his father was killed during the attack of the Serbian army on Zvornik in 1992 precisely by police officer Đurić. It was previously confirmed that Ibrić's father was killed in Zvornik, along with dozens of Bosniak neighbors. It was also confirmed that police officer Đurić was on the list of suspects for the murders of Bosniaks in Srebrenica.

But who is the person who, more than 20 years later, constantly reminded Ibrić of his father's murder? Was the murder of police officer Đurić deliberately provoked? Did someone need an incident in Zvornik?
The same source of Patria claims that Ibrić argued with police officer Đurić for a few moments in front of the police station, and then drew his weapon. All of this, claims this source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, can be seen on the security camera footage, which the police never released.

From the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Patria was told that investigators are still working on this case.
