Ceasefire ends: Israel strikes Gaza with fighter jets

(Patrai) - Air raid sirens sounded in Israel due to rocket attacks in Israeli communities near the Gaza border, the Israeli army announced.

Israel stated that it intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza, about an hour before the ceasefire with Hamas expired.

"Following an initial report of sirens sounding in communities near the Gaza Strip, the IDF's aerial defense system successfully intercepted a launch from the Gaza Strip," the Israeli army announced.

Palestinian media report Israeli military strikes in northern and southern Gaza.

"Several airstrikes were carried out in the southern Gaza Strip," announced the Ministry of Interior and National Security, run by Hamas.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they are striking Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip with fighter jets.
