Most polling stations closed, numerous incidents extended voting in BiH cities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Polling stations across Bosnia and Herzegovina, where no delays or violations of electoral rules were recorded, closed at 7 p.m. 

Many polling stations, however, will remain open longer, as various types of incidents were registered there, causing voting to be suspended for several hours. 

The electoral process was interrupted for two hours at a polling station where a female person passed away. 

More serious interruptions were recorded in Zvornik, Mostar, Livno, Doboj, and Zenica, where the process was jeopardized because polling stations were not prepared on time. 

The most difficult situation was in Bosanski Novi, where police intervened. Namely, before the opening of the polling station, completed ballots were brought in. After that, the polling station was not opened, and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska reacted, arresting five persons. 

According to the law, elections at this polling station must be held within seven days.
