Centar Municipality Closed Due to Employee Infected with Coronavirus

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Given that an employee of the Centar Municipality informed the Mayor Nedžad Ajnadžić this morning around 10:30 AM that he was placed in isolation, because after testing at the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo, he was found to be positive for coronavirus, Mayor Ajnadžić issued an order mandating a series of measures to prevent the possible spread of infection.

In this regard, all 60 employees who maintained the work process on a reduced schedule in the facility were ordered to leave the building, so the Municipality building has been closed since 12 PM, and tomorrow is a non-working day at the Municipality.

In addition, an authorized company was immediately engaged to perform a complete disinfection of all premises in the Centar Municipality building today and tomorrow. The Civil Protection Headquarters immediately notified the epidemiological service of the Vrazova Health Centre in writing, expecting that, in accordance with the prescribed procedures, the said service of the Health Centre will undertake activities in the same way as is carried out in all other situations.

Mayor Ajnadžić expects further instructions from the competent health institution. We want to specifically emphasize that the mentioned employee did not have an elevated body temperature when his temperature was measured using thermal cameras upon arrival at work. However, the said employee informed Mayor Ajnadžić on Tuesday evening about an elevated body temperature, after which the Mayor ordered him not to come to work and to immediately report to the competent epidemiological service at the Vrazova Health Centre.
