Polling stations closed: Karan to announce turnout data at 9 PM

7:00 PM Most polling stations where citizens of Republika Srpska voted today on celebrating January 9th as the day of RS have closed at 7 PM. The president of the Referendum Commission in RS, Siniša Karan, will address the public at 9 PM with turnout data, followed by the first preliminary voting results.

6:00 PM By 5 PM, 624,190 people, or 51.17 percent of all registered voters, had voted in the referendum on the day of Republika Srpska, announced the Commission for the Implementation of the Referendum of RS on the Day of Republika Srpska.

3:30 PM Turnout in the illegal referendum in Republika Srpska by 3 PM was 39.65 percent, or 484,328 citizens. The highest turnout was recorded in Kupres, 61.66 percent.

1:00 PM The president of the Commission for the Implementation of the Referendum in RS, Siniša Karan, stated that by 1:00 PM, 372,280 voters, or 30.48 percent of registered voters, had voted in the referendum on the day of RS in Republika Srpska.

Karan said that about 90 percent of polling stations, covering about 90 percent of all registered voters in RS, have been processed.

In the referendum on the Day of Republika Srpska, 2,235 citizens of Republika Srpska voted in Serbia by 1 PM.

The highest turnout is still in Belgrade, where 1,057 citizens voted, followed by Novi Sad with 800, Zrenjanin with 170, Subotica with 107 citizens, and Pančevo with 101.
