Due to this morning's SIPA operation in Bosanski Novi and the arrest of five Serbs suspected of war crimes, an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska has been requested, reports the Patria News Agency.
A decision on holding a special session should be made at an ad hoc session of the Parliament's collegium, immediately after the eighth regular session concludes.
The parliamentary majority today submitted an initiative to schedule a special session, at which the leadership of the highest legislative institution should be completed. This was confirmed by the head of the SNSD parliamentary group, Radovan Višković.
On Thursday, December 17, the Collegium should be held, according to SNSD, and they estimate that December 21 should then be set as the date for the special session.
Only two items will be placed on the agenda - the dismissal of the Vice-President of the National Assembly, Nenad Stevandić, and the election of three vice-presidents of the parliament, RTRS reports.
